For the staff of TransWorld Motocross, Thanksgiving isn’t about turkey and mashed potatoes; it’s about our favorite race of the year! A Day in the Dirt 15 moved to Glen Helen Raceway Park this year, and thousands of stuntmen, Hollywood types, industry insiders, and die-hard motocross racers came together to do battle on a two-mile course that wound up, down, and around the famed facility.
Glen Helen is the fifth venue that the popular event has visited in its 15 years, joining the now-defunct Los Angeles County Raceway, I-5 MX, Competitive Edge MX, and Pala Raceway. Prior to this year’s event, many predicted that the treacherous, rough conditions that Glen Helen is known for would dampen the mood, but the extra bumps and humps actually added to the party.
If hanging out with your in-laws and eating leftovers in front of the television isn’t your idea of a great post-Thanksgiving weekend, do whatever you can to make sure that you don’t miss next year’s race!
