Five-K large is a huge spend on the Kawasaki, but taking out a few tyre changes and an exhaust can that’s no longer on, it’s probably more like, er, four grand. Nevertheless, I reckon the Mamba has placed it well, and I’m sure more power gains would have seen it land on the podium. The Dymags have improved the bike no end, to the point that it’s an absolute hoot to ride anywhere, at any pace. The stunning Yoshi’ can could do with being matched to a straight through link pipe, which I’m convinced would seal the deal. To finish this high up is testament to the massive impact the wheels have made on the bike.
